I feel blessed to share this beautiful practice of yoga called "Svaroopa®". Giving to others what has been given to me. Lightness of being, freedom in my mind and body, learning to trust myself and above all, happiness, that which we all are trying to achieve. All this by learning to be aware of what we know and what we don't know and then in the letting go. Letting go is crucial for a healthy lifestyle. It is not in how far or deep we can go in the poses, but in how much we can let go. (Suka) Surrendering to the unknown and seeing beyond our limitations.
We come to yoga for many different reasons. We may be attracted to the physical aspects of the asanas (poses) or we may be focused on new ways of living our life and new doors open for us. For me, I knew I had to begin a new way of taking care of myself. I had been injured and was not able to use my body the ways I had been used to. No longer able to exercise, run or play sports, yoga found me. Let it find you.
Not only did it surpass exercise in its ability to keep the body healthy, Svaroopa Yoga offered a new way of living, using your “Experience” and “Awareness” as the motivation. I have come to understand how the body, mind & emotions work together and how to reach a deeper level of understanding about ourselves. I invite others to discover the essence of our inner being. I share with students how to unravel, time and time again, the tensions we gather in our bodies. I communicate clearly to guide you to discover the deeper dimensions of yoga with great insight and compassion, so you can create a fuller, happier, pain free life for yourself through the experience of yoga. I am dedicated to helping you live full, integrated, conscious lives and to be happy in your mind and your body.
I began this journey in 1986 in San Diego, CA under the guidance of Swami Nirmalananda, founder of Svaroopa Yoga and Master Yoga Academy. I have 750 hours of accredited training and am certified and registered with the Yoga Alliance and Master Yoga Academy.
Yes, You Can Do Yoga,
Yes, You Can Be Happy,
Every Day.
Namaste
